Fiduciary Trust Introduces a New Logo


Fiduciary Trust International (FTI) is proud to introduce our new logo, a bold and modern representation of our company’s forward-looking vision. At the same time, our new brand identity reflects the core values we have embraced since our company was founded in 1931—dependability, sophistication and personalized approach to helping families grow and preserve wealth for generations.

“Our business has evolved rapidly in recent years, especially with our recent acquisitions of Athena Capital Advisors and Pennsylvania Trust,” said CEO John M. Dowd. “Our newly redesigned logo captures the energy and spirit of our commitment to help clients of all ages stay ahead of the curve and prepare for their financial futures with conviction and confidence.”

The design phase of this project began in 2017 and took approximately 18 months to complete. The effort reflected strong collaboration among our highly experienced internal creative design team and our brand and marketing groups. Our research produced several artistic concepts for potential logos, which were narrowed down to three final choices. Those finalists were tested in focus groups consisting of investors who match the attributes of our clients. Many of those focus group participants described the final design choice as “memorable,” “unique,” and “eye-catching.”

Participants also agreed that the most important attribute for any wealth manager to convey in its logo is a commitment to “always acting in my best interest”—which is the cornerstone of the fiduciary standard of care and has been our primary mandate for almost 90 years. 

Our fresh, new logo will be rolled out in phases, gradually replacing the logo that currently appears in our offices around the country, materials for sponsored events, business cards, email signatures, etc. The release coincides with the recent launch of the Fiduciary Trust International mobile app for clients and our newly redesigned and refreshed client site, which allows clients to access detailed account information 24/7, 365 days a year from any device.
