Fiduciary Trust Proudly Sponsors the Lowe Art Museum’s Special Exhibit Featuring Michele Oka Doner

Fiduciary Trust International’s Coral Gables office is proudly sponsoring the Lowe Art Museum’s special Michele Oka Doner exhibit titled, Into the Mysterium. The exhibit opened on October 12, 2017 and will remain on view through January 14, 2018.

CORAL GABLES, FL—October 25, 2017—Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, is proud to sponsor the special exhibit “Michele Oka Doner: Into the Mysterium” at the Lowe Art Museum on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables, Florida.

The exhibition, which opened on October 12, 2017 and will remain on view through January 14, 2018, features 55 never-before-seen photographs of specimens from the Marine Invertebrate Museum at the University of Miami’s Rosensteil School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Ms. Doner’s new four-channel video installation, “Mysterium Alive,” accompanies the exhibition.

“At a time when hurricanes and wildfires have demonstrated the violent and destructive power of nature, Michele Oka Doner’s photographs of aquatic life help us to appreciate the beauty and stillness of nature,” said Linda Krouner, regional leader of Fiduciary Trust Company International’s Coral Gables office. “Providing support for cultural institutions in the communities where our clients and employees live and work is important to us, and we look forward to continuing to partner with the Lowe Art Museum to sponsor art exhibitions that have the power to inspire.”

Ms. Doner is known for her compelling public art commissions, including “A Walk on the Beach,” the iconic paved concourse at Miami International Airport. The artist is enthralled by civilization’s push-pull relationship with nature, and the paper-thin membrane separating order from chaos. Ms. Doner hopes this exhibition will take viewers back to humanity’s aquatic roots, and invite them “into a oneness of being.”

On December 2, 2017, families can enjoy a Community Day with art activities that align with the exhibition. Ms. Doner will also be the featured speaker at the Lowe Art Museum’s annual Art Basel Miami Beach Bubbles & Brunch program on December 10.

Tickets for the Community Day and Bubbles & Brunch program can be purchased at
