Fiduciary Trust International’s Michael A. Cabanas honored in South Florida Business Journal’s 2024 feature celebrating diverse voices

Mr. Cabanas recognized for exemplary leadership as global wealth management firm continues to expand presence in South Florida

Cabanas, regional managing director, has been selected by the South Florida Business Journal (SFBJ) to be showcased in its 2024 Diversity & Inclusion - Diverse Voices feature, appearing both in print and online.

SFBJ's special section Diverse Voices spotlights diverse executives located in the South Florida region who exemplify excellence in business, and work to improve their communities and the broader economy. These honorees are selected based on their professional accomplishments, community leadership and philanthropy, career milestones and past noteworthy recognitions. Mr. Cabanas leads Fiduciary Trust International’s wealth management business in Coral Gables.

A 20-year veteran in the finance industry, Mr. Cabanas served as a business development officer for Fiduciary Trust International from 2006 to 2013 and rejoined the firm in 2016. Earlier in his career, he served as the executive vice president and head of wealth management with Grove Bank & Trust. He also held senior banking positions at BNY Mellon Wealth Management and J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Michael received his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from the Huizenga School of Business at Nova Southeastern University.
